Owner and chef Steve Butters Jr. brings nearly a decade of professional chef experience to Butter Café & Bakery|Butter Event Catering. His tenure includes work at some of the premier restaurants in Boston. He most recently served as the Chef de Cuisine at Metropolis Café and Flat Iron Tapas, where he was know and well regarded for his use of seasonal ingredients to regularly update the daily menu. His experience also includes stints at Aquitaine, where he was renowned for his brunch specials, and Union Bar and Grille, where he honed his skills developing traditional ‘comfort food’ dishes.
Steve started his professional career as a chef at Mashnee Island Grille on Cape Cod.
Prior to his many years working as a chef, Steve cut his teeth working nearly every other job you can have in a food service establishment in both the front and back of the house.
Steve is a graduate of the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Cambridge, MA, and grew up right next door in Norwood.
